Become A Member
Westminster Mind is a membership organisation and you can become a member by paying a small subscription. Being a member is an important part of the governance of the charity.
Members are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November and any extraordinary general meetings. They are the only people allowed to make decisions by voting at the general meetings.
The Executive Committee is the governing body of the charity and the Executive Committee members meet every two months to oversee the strategic direction and the running of the charity. To become an Executive Committee member it is necessary to first become a Member, then stand for election at the AGM and Members vote for the candidates.
Members receive a copy of the Annual Report and they are invited to any special events such as the Christmas Art Exhibition at Portugal Prints.
The cost of the subscription is £5.00 a year for ‘Ordinary Members’ and 50 pence a year for ‘User Members’. User Members are people who use Westminster Mind services and there are two places on the Executive Committee for User Members.
